Descrizione e Attività
Descrizione Generale
DEXA-MCP as Dissemination Extension and Application of the Motor Challenge Programme, is built with specific internal objectives and one goal:
creating widely in Europe a real and continue progress in the industry energy efficiency in electricity and motor systems.
The electricity consumption inside the industrial sector in Europe is due for 69% of the total electricity consumption the electrical motor systems such as compressed air, pumping, fans, refrigerating and general other driving systems.
Several specific studies and many experiences on these systems have shown a very important source of energy savings.
The DEXA-MCP project focuses on stimulating, through a real Challenge, the industry sector to with the dissemination of the Motor Challenge Programme and the Motor Challenge Label to the enterprises which are engaged in an effective Energy Efficiency plan.
The activities are based on communication, training, auditing, technical support, developing decision help tool and integrating of the tool set into national energy programmes.
Attività svolta da ENEA
The project activities are structured in two main work packages:
• Dissemination, through integration into national programmes (WP1).
• Application of MCP tools to national programmes for enterprise interventions (WP2).
The ENEA activities in the WP1 are the followings:
1) the publication of three journal articles on Italian technical reviews. The articles will regard MCP activities and technology involved in DEXA-MCP (driven motor, fans, pumps and compressed air system).
2)The implementation of national website on the Motor Challenge Programme
3)A brochure regarding the decrees on Energy Efficiency. ENEA will disseminate the part of the Decree concerning high efficiency motors and VSD.
The activities in the WP2 are the followings:
1)ENEA will carry out three short training seminars for Energy Managers; aim of the seminars is to inform the Italian Energy Managers on energy saving connected to driven motors, fans, pumps and compressed air system.
2)A case study on the application of VSD on potable water pumps.
3)ENEA will carry out two training seminars to SMEs technicians. Aim of the activity is:
• to train SMEs technicians on the potential energy and money saving in the drives systems,
• to apply MCP in selected SMEs, by carrying out an audit in their own firm,
• to disseminate the MCP among the identified SMEs, as well as to persuade the SMEs to join the MCP.
