Descrizione Generale

The CO-OPET project is an important step in identifying and clustering the key actors within the European Research Area in the field of energy policies. The main objectives of this programme are as follows:
Increased and structured communication between network participants, including the European Commission. (Example of CO-OPET activity: user-friendly web-portal with value-added functionalities - "European technology broker")
Increased dissemination of knowledge from relevant programmes and projects (European Institutions, networks, research institutes, universities) to the OPET network.
Identifying key stakeholders in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energies, in order to facilitate the practical application of energy policies, identify the key technologies to be deployed and to verify their market acceptability.
Increased awareness about the OPET network and its activities. (Examples of CO-OPET activities: decision-makers’ seminars, events, informing stakeholders worldwide of results of OPET actions concerning the dissemination of new energy technologies)
An impact assessment of OPET activities and a communication strategy for the future.
In this way, the programme will be of benefit to the energy stakeholders community and consequently to the OPETs. CO-OPET includes also three areas of work , involving two dissemination packages in the Mediterranean region and one in Asia. A further work package will specialise in transport/energy issues.

Attività svolta da ENEA

L'ENEA partecipa ai workpackage 6 e 8.
WP 6 MEDNET: creazione di un'area di discussione nel sito web dell'OPET dedicato alla diffusione delle tecnologie energetiche europee nel mediterraneo e all'organizzazione di una conferenza internazionale finalizzata allo stesso scopo. Le attività sono svolte in collaborazione con altri quattro partner europei mediterranei(CRES, ADENE, ICTAF e IDAE).
WP 8 ASEAN: promozione dell'uso efficiente dell'energia e delle energie rinnovabili nell'area ASEAN (Malesia, Thailandia) mediante la creazione di opuscoli divulgativi e la partecipazione a studi di fattibilità da diffondere nel corso di un workshop internazionale. Le attività sono effettuate insieme con un partner locale CETREE (Malesia).
