Offshore Wind Power is already been developed in the North Sea and the same or different Technology will be applied sooner or later in the Mediterranean Sea. For this reason, the project aims at setting the basis on which a European Union Planning can be taken, to promote this Renewable Energy Technology in the Mediterranean Sea, respecting the environment and the public opinion. The objectives of this work are to facilitate the sustainable deployment of Offshore Wind Power in the Mediterranean Sea, and to remove legal and administrative barriers and gaps that hamper or impede the development of this type of energy industry.
Attività svolta da ENEA
L'analisi delle potenzialità e dei vincoli alla diffusione delle fonti energetiche rinnovabili in Italia rappresenta un tema di tradizionale impegno per l'ENEA, anche in relazione ai più generali problemi nazionali della sicurezza dell'approvvigionamento energetico e degli impegni assunti a livello internazionale di riduzione di impatto ambientale delle fonti energetiche.
