The scientific aim of the project is to determine the concentration of Br and Rb in whole blood and dialysis fluids by a mass balance study on well defined groups of haemodialysis patients who aree affected by neurologic symptons, sleeping and itching compared tohealthy subjects. This in order to establish possible correlations between level of Br and Rb and clinical symptoms in haemodialysis patients. Due to the possibility of methabolic interaction among trace elements in human body the determination of Br and Rb will be simultaneous performed with that of other essential trace elements and main electrolytes.
