The project includes the development of prototypes and tests on full-scale mock-ups, full-scale mock-ups.). Laboratory tests and preliminary studies carried out by the damper manufacturer have shown the feasibility of the damper/cable system (DCS). The ambition is to limit the number of dampers needed to protect the structure against earthquakes. Identification of the requested DCS characteristics and the structural typologies for which the system is applicable. Design of the DCS components, and supply of DCS prototypes. Study of architectural issues related to the installation of DCS. Experimental analysis of the DCS prototypes and of full-scale structures equipped with them. Evaluation of the technical and economical benefits of the use of such devices. Design guidelines for the implementation of the semi-active and passive control technologies.

Attività svolta da ENEA

Collaborazione alla progettazione del sistema, nella sua modellazione numerica, nella progettazione delle prove e nell'analisi numerica dei risultati sperimentali e nella valutazione dei benefici di carattere tecnico-economico derivanti dall'uso del nuovo sistema. Inoltre collaborerà nella valutazione degli aspetti architettonici, avvalendosi della collaborazione di esperti, attualmente in fase di identificazione; L'ENEA è leader delle due task relative alla modellazione numerica del sistema e all'analisi numerica delle strutture di esso dotate.
