Several computerised Decision Support Systems (DSS) have been developed for the management of contaminated fresh water environments. The objectives of the proposed network are: a) to review and assess the DSSs to ensure that they comply with expectations and needs of potential users; b) to identify and classify the approaches of the different DSSs; c) to define their application domains; d) to synthesise the experience gained for improving the DSSs and for the rational utilisation of the existing products..
