EUROFASTNET means European project for Future Advances in Sciences and Technology for Nuclear Engineering Thermal-Hydraulics. Starting by an exhaustive review ofthe industrial needs for the next ten years and after a state of the art in therelevant fields, new avenues of research in physical modelling, numericaltechniques, experimental investigations, and advanced instrumentation will bedefined. The point of view of the industry, the utilities, the R&D institutes, thesafety institutes, and research laboratories of Universities will be associated.This Concerted Action should result in a common understanding on what are the keyproblems and which R&D work should be initiated to solve them. It should give riseto an enhanced European co-operation for present and future development work..

Attività svolta da ENEA

Le attività riguardano l'individuazione dei temi da indagare dal punto di vista della sicurezza, esercizio e allungamento vita per i reattori in esercizio ed innovativi e la proposta di un programma di ricerca e sviluppo limitatamente alle metodologie di valutazione delle incertezze.
