Descrizione Generale

Intelligent technologies, including neural networks, fuzzy systems, machine learning and evolutionary computing, have led to many successful industrial applications but most solutions lack adaptivity and have to be redesigned when the setting or environmental parameters change significantly. Also, although these technologies have reached a mature stage and each one separately penetrates more and more application fields, they show very little interaction with each other. EUNITE, will be an open Network of Excellence towards a twofold goal: a) to create critical research mass in the area of Intelligent Technologies for better exploiting the potential of Intelligent Hybrid Systems; and;b) to foster synergies between the technologies that contribute towards building Smart Adaptive Systems, for implementation in industry and other economy sectors.
