The project addresses the basic science, potential medical effects and health problems of exposure to chemical and eugenics. Detailed dose response curves will be produced for a selected panel of eugenic chemicals in model systems ranging from in vitro cultured cells, rodent bone marrow, peripheral blood cells, gutepithelium.and male and female rodent germ cells. Response curves will be used to evaluate the quantitative and qualitative relationships between the levels softest systems and to determine the criteria for the verification of the presence/or not of thresholds of activity. Modifying factors will be evaluated and biomarkers of uneaten exposure in the human population developed.
Attività svolta da ENEA
Le attività di ricerca dell'ENEA riguardano la stima in modelli murini dell'induzione chimica di aneuploidie nella linea germinale femminile e la loro trasmissione all'embrione a seguito della fecondazione al fine dell'elaborazione di un modello di stima dei rischi sanitari derivanti dall'esposizione a sostanze aneugeniche e della classificazione e regolamentazione di tali sostanze.
