Descrizione e Attività
Descrizione Generale
STAR BUS is a 3 years project involving national and municipal agencies, technical centres for engines and buses networks. The project aims to promote renewable energies by proposing an integrated decision tool for bus network and transport public authority.
Urban buses are energy efficient compared to personal vehicle. But to reinforce their attractiveness, they have to be optimised for pollutants, greenhouse gas emissions, energy diversification, noise, and of course investment & maintenance costs. Advantages/inconveniences of different energetic pathways (biofuels, NGV, LPG, Diesel with DPF-SCR…) from well to wheel need to be aggregate using external costs and "classic" economic costs in a single relevant criteria. Tool and methodologies will be evaluated by stakeholders (bus networks and cities associated, manufacturers, UITP and others associations) during last year of the project.
European dissemination will be done with conferences, web site presenting demonstration version of tool and examples.
