Descrizione e Attività
Descrizione Generale
RENReady strengthens the implementation of Article 18 of the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) by addressing certification, skills, and compliance gaps for renewable energy installers across EU Member States. The project will systematically map existing certification schemes, analyse workforce availability against national and EU targets, and integrate sector-specific data on solar PV , heat pumps, storage systems, and EV recharging. These inputs will feed three flagship digital tools: (i) the RED Skills Atlas, a web-based interactive platform visualising certification coverage, gaps, and compliance status; (ii) the Digital Skills Wallet, a blockchain-enabled tool allowing installers to store, verify, and share credentials across borders; and (iii) the Compliance Radar, an AI-driven monitoring system detecting anomalies and non-compliance risks. RENReady will also design a Mutual Recognition Framework and practical Policy Guidelines to support cross-border comparability of certifications. Through the Skills Impact Calculator, the project will quantify the socio-economic and environmental impacts of certification pathways, generating scenarios to inform national energy and climate planning. The results will be consolidated in the RED Article 18 Policy Toolkit, providing actionable recommendations, sectoral briefs, and reform roadmaps for Member States. Led by CRES with nine partners including national agencies, research institutes, EU associations, and digital innovators, the consortium ensures strong policy, technical, and stakeholder expertise. With strategic engagement of EU platforms (Skill4Energy, BUILD UP Skills, ManagEnergy) and replication partners, RENReady delivers long-term sustainability, exploitation strategies, and integration of its tools into EU initiatives, thereby enabling workforce readiness, certification transparency, and effective RED implementation.
