Descrizione e Attività
Descrizione Generale
Decarbonising Europe's residential building stock is essential to achieve climate neutrality, reduce energy poverty, and strengthen energy security. Yet renovation rates remain far below targets, with homeowners facing financial, technical, and organisational barriers. One-Stop Shops (OSS) for home renovation have proven to overcome these barriers by offering integrated services, but their scaling across Europe requires stronger collaboration, knowledge exchange, and supportive policies. EU Peers II will expand and consolidate the existing European Community of Practice (CoP) for OSS, building on EU Peers I and growing from 6 to 12 national platforms plus a transnational platform, with further outreach to 5 additional countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The project, which is supported by numerous stakeholders (> 140 letters of support), will engage 950+ members, including OSS operators, public authorities, financial institutions, and civil society. Through peer-to-peer exchange, replication toolkits, thematic working groups, and tailored training, the community will provide practical solutions for practitioners and support emerging initiatives. To bridge practice and policy, EU Peers II will track the national transposition of the EPBD/EED, using surveys, policy briefs, and structured stakeholder engagement to create evidence- based guidance and to incentivise governments to act. Collaboration with the European Energy Efficiency Financing Coalition will align OSS with financing innovation and investment strategies, while targeted communication will raise visibility among policymakers, local authorities, and citizens. By embedding and strengthening OSS models in diverse contexts, EU Peers II accelerates deep renovation across Europe, reinforces local capacities, and contributes directly to the objectives of the LIFE Clean Energy Transition sub-programme.
