Descrizione e Attività

Descrizione Generale

The main objective of the FO3REST project is to refine the criteria and suggest validated thresholds for forest protection against ozone and climate change, in order to propose new standards that are more appropriate and based on the quantity of ozone absorbed by plants. Direct or indirect relevance to climate change.

Attività svolta da ENEA

ENEA will provide scientific knowledge for modelling ozone fluxes and correlating impacts and ozone (measured concentrations and modelled flux in Action 1; measured flux in Action 2). ENEA will collaborate with IPP-CNR in applying geostatistics for deriving maps of ozone risk and analyzing the best criteria and thresholds for ozone protection (Action 3). On the basis of its considerable expertise in communication, ENEA will contribute to all dissemination activities of FO3REST.
