Descrizione Generale

The main objective of the project is to disseminate information about the possibilities of renewable energy for cooling buildings (public, agricultural, tourism, industry and services) in the area of the Adriatic basin and in such way to contribute increasing independence from fossil fuels usage.
The focus of the project is to identify and to analyze use of energy for cooling, to present most effective and appropriate solar cooling technologies, as well as to promote the integration of stakeholders in this field.
Six pilot cases will be realized during the implementation period and number of activities will be focused on monitoring of installed systems and on strengthening of public awareness related to importance of solar energy. The project's content is very popular, as in the EU is identified growing trend of energy consumption used for cooling and air conditioning of buildings. Main reasons for such increased energy consumption are greater demand for comfort, higher living standards, new architectural trends (large glazed area), changed climatic conditions, etc.

Attività svolta da ENEA

L'ENEA parteciperà alle task che prevedono la diffusione e l'interazione con i network di ricerca europea con l'obiettivo di sviluppare azioni finalizzate alla promozione di tecnologie per l'efficienza energetica, le fonti rinnovabili e l'innovazione del settore dell'agricoltura e del sistema rurale.
