Descrizione e Attività

Descrizione Generale

This project addresses information and trust barriers to maximising the impact of EPC recommendations. It will stimulate uptake and investment in retrofit by providing accurate,
trustworthy data about EPCs and the costs, benefits & opportunities for low carbon retrofit. It will
bring together market actors (householders, suppliers and policy makers) through a one-stop shop
model. We will inform the supply-side market actors (landlords, investors, product suppliers) about where the best retrofit opportunities lie for different communities, types of home and householders.
Local authorities in their growing role to support delivery of retrofit will also be targeted. Monitoring of EPC recommendations is not yet developed across Europe and this project will support the development of EPC and retrofit monitoring activities in partnership with government. For individual home and building owners, lack of access to accurate, trustworthy information has long been identified as a barrier to low carbon retrofit. EPCs are a major policy measure designed to overcome that barrier. However, the EPC needs to be supported by wider information, guidance and analysis to enable home and building owners to act on its recommendations. This project will enhance existing tools and bring together online resources for home owners. These activities will come together in the development of low carbon retrofit data and information hubs, initially in five countries.
