Descrizione:

Main objectives of the PCRec NoI are: •To facilitate the access to product centric recycling infrastructures targeting printed circuit boards (PCBs), lighting devices, LCD flat screens, permanent magnets, among WEEE products.. •To facilitate the avoidance of infrastructures and pilot plants duplication, pursuing complementary equipment to fill identified gaps. More precisely, within the framework of the European Initiative on Raw Materials, the overall Project goal is to implement a long term self-sustainable excellence Network dedicated to provide services to external customers for the development and implementation of sustainable ready to market technology solutions for the product centric recycling of raw materials from WEEE (Waste from Electric and Electronic Equipments). Particular target of the PCRec NoI are PCBs, lighting devices (lamps and LEDs), permanent magnets, LCD flat screens. The aim of the Network is to facilitate the exploitation of European secondary resources from the target products via the integration of already existing competences and infrastructures in the recycling sector. The facilities and competences of the partners will be available to external KIC partners and third parties to provide a complete set of services on recycling technologies including: material characterization, pre-treatment technologies, raw materials final refining, innovative technologies validation through pilot plants, emissions treatment, plastic valorization, environmental assessment, LCA, socio-economic analysis, business plan elaboration. The proposed technology solutions will aim the territorial valorization of WEEE onto the territory where these are produced; for this reason these have high potentiality for market replication along Europe. The PCRec NoI will also assure the dissemination of information on already existing infrastructures in the recycling sector among potentially interested stakeholders along Europe and it will put in place actions to avoid recycling infrastructures and pilot plants duplication among partners. It will also provide a valuable opportunity to be exploited by trainees involved in education activities.

Attività svolta da ENEA:

L'ENEA coordina il network europeo nel settore del riciclo prodotto centrico di materiali da prodotti complessi a fine vita e monitoraggio dei relativi KPIs di progetto e attiva contratti esterni con imprese e organizzazioni di formazione europee con l'obiettivo di definire, sviluppare e portare sul mercato tecnologie innovative di riciclo.
