Descrizione:

ERMAT project has the scope of closing the loop concerning the residual materials for steel sector. This means also to create business involving, as target audience, industry with potential side-streams and potential to utilize residue products, SMEs for residue processing and utilization, circular economy start-ups. This is in line with EU directives and recommendations (landfill waste , SIP , circular economy package ). ERMAT partners have a broad experience in the field of circular economy, recycling and redesign of residual material to useful products. The experience is covering the whole field from modelling, testing, analysing, up-scaling of production, production, business model and marketing. The challenge is how different initiatives and opportunities for residues recovering and recycling can be spread and efficiently utilized to reach for zero waste. The goal is to find more potential applications for residue utilizations in order to increase the volume of potential end-users by: Web-based register of by-product suppliers and needs; Web-store providing expertise of process route for processing residuals; Offer expertise in residual materials, modelling and infra-facilities. Main impact and added value of ERMAT project is that industry and organizations in needs get an easy access to find information about useful contacts and process routes. The project result to map the residuals and potential applications enable the processer and especially the small and medium size company possibility to join the larger network and utilize the well-defined utilization concept or develop the concepts together with KIC partners. The indirect benefits for the KIC is the release the de-siloing between the sectors in order to achieve new industrial symbiosis.
